This ardent sports fan tutors younger Native American students and is headed to the University of Oregon to study journalism. Cyrus is one of 23 students that received a Gates Millennium Scholarship, a full-ride scholarship designed to help promising low-income minority students attend college and graduate.

Hoping to Create a New Home in Hillsboro
