Community Builders Application for Free Home Repairs
The Community Builders Program is dedicated to helping older adults and people with disabilities age safely in their homes by providing free home repairs. REACH staff, volunteers, and subcontractors complete repairs as resources are available. Funds come from the Portland Housing Bureau and donations. Clients and their families are encouraged to help with labor and costs when feasible.
Due to high demand, there may be a wait to receive these free services.
Interpretation services are available by phone and in person. Applications are available in other languages upon request.

Our FREE home repair program focuses on serving those who:
- Own and occupy their own home in the City of Portland
- Earn 50% of median family income or less (see chart on the REACH website)
- Are 55 years or older and/or have a disability
REACH reserves the right to decline repairs on: travel trailers, fifth wheels, unpermitted work, and work completed by non-licensed, bonded and insured contractors.
