This past summer, we received a letter from a REACH resident moving out of her home. Normally, we’re a little sad when we learn a good tenant is moving. But we saw her kind words – and inspirational story – and couldn’t help but be thrilled for this new homeowner: “... It has been a pleasure to rent from REACH. Not only did it make it possible for me to survive as a single parent, but also it provided the blessing of being able to live in the best neighborhood in Portland. I am sad to have to leave this neighborhood, but I am also really excited and happy that I have bought my first home! This is a major accomplishment that was 15 years in the making and that I could not have done without REACH for 10 of those years. REACH gave us the best neighbors, a great school for my son, and other incredible services like Youth$ave, which directly contributed to [his] status as a competent professional drummer by age 18.
