We are thrilled to share some incredible news about the progress we’ve made at REACH. Our 100 Homes in 100 Days campaign has been a resounding success, and we wanted to take a moment to highlight our achievements and outline our plans for the future.
Our goal was ambitious: house 100 families in 100 days, providing safe and stable homes for those in need. By Christmas Eve, we didn’t just meet this goal—we shattered it.
140 families found homes. Transforming their lives and starting the new year with stability, hope, and opportunity.
This was no simple task - our team of housing, resident services, and communications staff worked tirelessly to make this happen. We streamlined leasing processes, created a centralized communications hub, and launched a step-by-step guide on our website to make applications easier to navigate. Expanding our reach through RentCafe.com connected us with more families, while a new email newsletter kept residents informed every step of the way. Overall, these actions helped us house 140 families in 100 days and set the stage for continued success in 2025.
For each family, it wasn’t just a move-in date; it was a fresh start. 140 new doors opened, and with them, a chance for stability, safety, and hope.
A chance for people like Jalinn. Before moving into REACH, Jalinn was living in his van. During a sweltering heat wave, Jalinn experienced an attempted break-in. That experience pushed him to seek help, leading him to Justin, a REACH community manager. Justin guided Jalinn through the application process. Together, they explored every option, overcame barriers, and eventually Jalinn was approved for a studio apartment.
Now, Jalinn is a REACH resident and is stable and secure.
He expresses relief at finally having a safe and reliable place to rest and sleep without worry. As Jalinn puts it, “One of the things I look forward to the most is being able to take a nap worry-free. I can get a full night’s sleep because I know my door is locked, and I’m secure.”
REACH’s in-house property management staff provided Jalinn with a stable and secure home, helping him transition from living in a van to having a safe and reliable place to live. This stability has been crucial in allowing him to focus on his physical and mental recovery from his injuries and pursue his future goals.
As Justin puts it, “Jalinn’s situation was challenging, but we never give up on finding a way to get people housed. At REACH, we are relentless in our commitment to helping individuals like Jalinn secure a safe and stable home.”
