Every hour matters. Every dollar helps.

Gray’s Landing is a beautiful REACH property in Portland’s South Waterfront, home to over 200 seniors, families, and veterans who have served our country with honor. Unfortunately, it also sits directly across the street from the Portland ICE facility.

Since federal agents increased activity last week, residents have endured tear gas and pepper balls launched outside their homes. These toxic munitions are seeping into the building, into hallways, and into people’s homes.

No one should have to breathe tear gas where they sleep.
No one should fear for their safety in their own home.

At REACH, we stand firmly with the residents of Gray’s Landing. We are calling loudly for an end to these violent tactics – and we are doing everything we can to support our residents and protect their right to live in peace.

Our mission has never been more urgent. The challenges we face demand action, compassion, and courage.

This is our moment — a moment to act, to lead, and to make a lasting difference when our communities are under threat.

Federal violence should never reach someone’s doorstep. REACH has already incurred over $150,000 in costs responding to the effects of federal tactics. We are not resourced to take on a situation like this alone.

Your support helps REACH respond quickly to residents caught in the crossfire— providing air purifiers, washing down the building to remove chemical residue from tear gas and pepper ball dispersals, and offering direct support to residents impacted.

Every hour matters. Every dollar helps.
