REACH Welcomes Paul Cummings to its Board of Directors

REACH is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Cummings to its board of directors. As a seasoned professional in affordable housing finance and development partnerships, Paul brings a wealth of experience and expertise to further enhance REACH’s mission.

We look forward to the unique perspectives and insights he will bring to our organization.”

Paul currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Director of Originations at the National Affordable Housing Trust (NAHT). In this role, he oversees originations efforts for multifamily investments utilizing the federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC). With over 30 years of experience in the field, Paul has contributed significantly to NAHT’s success, facilitating the creation and preservation of quality affordable housing, totaling close to $2 billion in equity investments.

Prior to joining NAHT, Paul dedicated over 17 years of his career to Enterprise Community Partners and Enterprise Community Investment, serving most recently as senior vice president, and managing market strategy, relationship management, and syndication. Additionally, Paul served as a development officer at the Vermont Housing Finance Agency, administering multifamily loans and the state’s LIHTC program. Paul serves as an investment committee member for New Market Funds, which makes double bottom line investments in Canada. 

Beyond his professional endeavors, Paul has shown a strong commitment to community service. He has served as a captain and fundraising chairperson for the Running for Shelter Hood to Coast Relay team, raising an impressive $1 million for affordable housing over the last 25 years. 

Based in Portland, Oregon, Paul holds a Master’s in City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Architectural Design from the University of California, Davis.
