REACH Welcomes Five New Members to Its Board of Directors
We are pleased to welcome five new members to our Board of Directors: Maggie Gilman Holm, Emily Kaleel, Seth Leonard, Andrea Guedes, and Cameron Herrington. Together, they bring decades of experience in housing policy, nonprofit leadership, communications, community engagement, affordable housing development, and cross-sector partnership building. Most importantly, they share a commitment to REACH’s mission of creating opportunities for all people to thrive through equitable access to quality, affordable homes, supportive services, and community.
Our Board of Directors plays a vital role in providing governance, strategic oversight, and community leadership. As REACH continues to address our region’s housing challenges, these new board members will help strengthen our ability to serve residents and advance housing stability across Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Maggie Gilman Holm (she/her/they)
Maggie Gilman Holm is the Community Partnership Specialist at the Port of Portland with 15 years of experience across the nonprofit, social service, and local government sectors. Her background includes direct service delivery — including as a former REACH Resident Services Coordinator and as a domestic and sexual violence advocate — as well as program development, organizational evaluation, budgeting, fundraising, and community engagement. Maggie’s connection to REACH runs deep: her father, Dennis Gilman, was one of the organization’s co-founders. Drawing on both personal experience with housing insecurity and her professional career, Maggie brings a multifaceted perspective to the board and is eager to support REACH’s strategic planning, oversight, and continued impact.
Emily Kaleel (she/her)
Emily Kaleel is President of the Clark County Food Bank, where she leads efforts to alleviate hunger and its root causes through strong community partnerships — including a longstanding collaboration with REACH in Southwest Washington. Her board and coalition experience includes the Washington Food Coalition, the Portland Fellows, the Oregon Food Bank, and the Food System Council of SW Washington. Emily brings a track record of cross-sector partnership building, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership. She is particularly interested in strengthening connections between the housing and hunger sectors and supporting REACH’s continued growth and impact in Southwest Washington.
Seth Leonard (he/him)
Seth Leonard is Executive Director of the Consortium for Housing and Asset Management (CHAM), where he equips mission-focused owners and operators of affordable housing with the skills, relationships, and resources to navigate today’s challenges — including active engagements in cities such as Seattle, Chicago, New York, Boston, and the Bay Area. His eighteen-year career spans capital deployment, policy strategy, and systems transformation at the local, state, and national levels, with a focus on expanding access to capital for historically marginalized and under-resourced communities. Seth has long considered REACH a national model for high-impact community development work, and looks forward to bringing his cross-system perspective — along with his roots as a new Portland resident — to the board.
Andrea Guedes (she/they)
Andrea Guedes is a communications professional with nearly a decade of experience supporting Portland’s nonprofit and affordable housing sectors, including work with Hacienda CDC, Proud Ground, and Home Forward, as well as experience as an onsite property manager in conventional real estate. She currently serves on the OPB Community Advisory Board, the KMHD Advisory Board, and the Street Soccer PDX board, and previously served on the OPAL board. Andrea brings expertise in project management, storytelling, public relations, and community engagement strategy, along with a well-rounded view of Portland’s affordable housing landscape and key stakeholders. She is excited to contribute her skill set to REACH’s next chapter.
Cameron Herrington (he/him)
Cameron Herrington is a housing policy advocate and community organizer with deep roots in immigrant solidarity work and tenant organizing. His past board service includes the Washington Fair Trade Coalition (2008–2011), the Portland Housing Advisory Commission (2017–2020), and the Oregon Governor’s Racial Justice Council’s Housing and Homelessness Committee (2022–2026). His professional experience includes tenures with the Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador (CISPES) in Seattle, the Living Cully coalition in Northeast Portland, and the statewide Oregon Housing Alliance. Cameron brings expertise in land use, landlord/tenant policy, and affordable housing development and preservation, along with relationships across Oregon’s affordable housing and policy landscape. He has particular experience organizing alongside residents of manufactured housing communities and advocating for their preservation as affordable housing. Cameron is drawn to REACH’s potential to lead in the growth of the non-commodity, community-owned housing sector locally, and looks forward to working alongside REACH residents to advocate for their needs.
